Our Heroes

Who is your hero?

If you are like me, you might have many heroes.

I recently lost one of those I would consider a hero.

My father-in-law passed away last week.

He was a hero to me.

I admired

👍 how easily he could laugh at himself

👍 how easily he could laugh at most everything

👍 his easy-going smile

👍 his ability to not take himself too seriously

👍 how he could find joy in the smallest things

👍 his incredible generosity

👍 his affinity for ice cream

I never shared these things with him. Now I can't.

I find it hard to tell others what I appreciate about them, how I value them.

Maybe that stems from my challenge to tell myself what I appreciate about me.

We need heroes in our lives, whether they know their role or not.

We need people we admire, that inspire us, that set an example.

If we're lucky, we get to serve as a hero for others.

Our heroes help set our own course.

Why is someone your hero?

What can you do to integrate their good parts into who you want to become?

Create your life.
